afford because it will
pay off in the long run. Your boat will look better,
handle better and be more fun to sail. The sails on the Tayana 37, Vale of Avoca, are typical examples of our Performance Cruising range. A wide range of options cover Day-Sailing to Long-Term Blue-Water-Sailing. Our uncompromising attention to detail is your guarantee that the sails will live up to your expectations and that theyll look terrific too. Big boat or smaller one, lets meet on the dock, select the sail cloth and options you need and well design the best quality sails you can find. Of course if you are a Racer, we can do our part towards keeping you at the front of the fleet. Whether you want the durability of Dacron or the ultimate in Kevlar Mylar Laminates - we have the materials and the designs you need. With the experience of the whole Neil Pryde network to draw from youll know your sails are fast and competitively priced. Watch out for "The Rival" our Moore 24! For the Day Sailor, we produce a range of products tailored to a more modest budget. The same High Tech. designs adapted to less demanding sailing conditions. You get the same high standards as everyone else, the same service and the same warranty. Let us show you what we can do. Patrick A. Telfor. |
| What Options should
you consider? On a Main
Sail, Full Battens for the Top Two positions - unless
you are racing and class rules forbid it. Full battens in
the other positions may be helpful for Cruisers and
Day-Sailors and the world famous Dutchman system makes
raising and lowering larger sails a piece of cake.
Dont believe what the "dockside experts"
say about Dutchman. Ask for a demo or watch the video! It
works on a Santa Cruz 70 and it will work on your
boat. |

Asymmetrical
Spinnakers are the ideal boat gift so start dropping
big hints. Most of us can live without one but with a
good "squeezer" to make them easy to handle and
a trip around the bay with your NEIL PRYDE Sailmaker,
youll find a new sense of fun. Dont be
intimidated. Until you get the hang of it, just use it in
lighter air. Let the ladies choose the colours and they
may even volunteer to go sailing. It might just
work! Other options include sail trimming aids such as Cunninghams, Reefs, Flatteners and so on. Lets see how your boat is rigged and discuss what you really need. Often it is quite easy to simplify systems that have become too complex. Do you often sail Short Handed? Ask about bringing controls back to the cockpit. It is usually simple to reduce or eliminate the need to go forward. Sailcloths come in endless styles and weights. The cost versus durability characteristics need to be explained and understood. Look ahead a couple of years and ask how much maintenance will be needed. If you plan to Race, remember that sails dont improve with age no matter how little use they get and designs and cloths do get better every year. The Cruiser and Day Sailor needs to think in terms of durability. Visual appeal is a factor too. Is "pride of ownership" important to you? If so, spend a bit more on the finishing details such as Cruise Plus and Tradewinds. The extra cost is small but the visual effect is amazing. Sail covers can be supplied with your new sail. Boat Covers and other Canvas can be arranged through local suppliers. Sailing is supposed to be fun and we are fun to do business with. We dont like hassles, in fact we avoid them like the plague. We may not always be the cheapest, but we are very serious about being the best. Youll never know
unless you call. |
